Oh Nigeria!

Oh Nigeria!

Oh Nigeria, our motherland and legacy.
A place of struggle, hope and dreams.
A paradox of unity and diversity
Our experience of scintillating extremes.

From the Niger to the Sahel,
Sounds and rhythm of our culture ring,
A land of endless potential,
Where God blesses both pauper and king.

Yet, troubles have often befallen
Our journey towards the promised land,
Shadows of despair have often stolen,
Hopes and dreams right out of our hand.

But amidst the chaos and the disharmony,
Our resilient spirit never wanes,
And so we rise up like Chappal Wadi,
To tower magnetically above all pains.

Our dreams are like the stars that shine,
Through the darkest of the night,
Guiding us through the storms of time,
Towards a future that is bright.

So let us all unite as one,
And hold our heads up high,
For together, we can overcome,
And soar beyond the sky.

For Nigeria, our dear homeland,
Is a place of promise and hope,
With our hands joined we stand,
Better poised to climb the steepest slope.

Oh Nigeria, our dear homeland,
We will always believe in thee,
Our birthright, our commonwealth and,
Our love for you forever will be.

A very good day to you my G. O. A very nice poem intelligently composed. She has has caught the anointing that is flowing down. More grace to her.
