Love’s tragic lore, is a woe so old,
When good men fall for wrong women
Or good women fall for wrong men…
Broken hearts, dreams, and pain untold.
Consequently the good ones waver;
Good men label all women as palaver
Good women think all men are cheats,
Love’s lost, like an orphan on the streets.
When good ones do meet, fear is there
So they avoid love and settle for trivia
Or a parody of love, a game of chance.
Lo… lovers yearning in a loveless dance.
