The Highflyer

The Highflyer

Upon a thought I did rest,
Another reality I confess, at best,
And in that place, I heard a sound,
That shook me to my very ground.

The things I heard were not for me,
A secret world I chanced to see,
And yet I sat and could not move,
Enraptured by that mystic groove.

For in that moment, time stood still,
And all around was void and chill,
And yet I knew I had to go,
To leave that realm, that sacred flow.

But still, the memory haunts me, so,
Of what I heard but did not know,
And though I left that table long,
The echoes of that cosmic song,

Still resonate within my soul,
A mystery that makes me whole,
My thoughts are intentional henceforth,
I know that truth is in it’s worth,

Of taking risks and breaking the rules,
Of being bold and being fools,
For in those moments, we may find,
A world beyond, of a different kind.
