Maybe I just dodged a bullet
Or an assassination
Fingers rigor pried from my throat
Or survived persecution.
Just before ‘activation’
To tide the ‘lows’ after a kill
For guaranteed stimulation
Or just to feel the thrill.
I am not romantic
With me, no magic
But I know what I know boo
So I know you know we are true.
